Jacaranda has several ranges of silky soft carpets in their collection.  These carpets made either from TENCEL® or Viscose, look and feel like silk but cost a lot less.  The slightly antique/distressed look happens as the pile crushes to reflect light in different directions.  They are immensely soft under foot and add a lustrous glossy look to interiors, traditional or contemporary
